The Kilgore College-Longview Testing Center provides comprehensive testing services and a secure testing environment for students, faculty, staff and administration.

The Kilgore College-Longview Testing Center provides comprehensive testing services and a secure testing environment for students, faculty, staff and administration.

The Longview Testing Center administers GED tests and TSI tests.The Testing Center is also available for students and community members to have tests proctored while taking on-line or correspondence courses from other colleges or universities. Scheduling for these tests must be done on an individual basis. A $30 proctoring fee per exam for this service must be paid by cash, credit card or money order.  For more information, contact the Longview Testing Center Manager at (903) 236-2051 or by e-mail at longviewtesting@kilgore.edu.

Accuplacer ESL

The ACCUPLACER ESL exam is offered on the Kilgore campus Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m. by appointment only (except during late registration and finals periods).

ACT Workkeys

The ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT WorkKeys NCRC®) is an assessment-based credential issued at four levels; Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The NCRC measures and certifies the essential work skills needed for success in jobs across industries and occupations.

ATI TEAS

The TEAS exam is available for students applying to a health science program.

  • The cost of the exam is $115 each time the test is taken.
  • For specific application requirements, including retest policies, please contact your local program office.

College Level Examination Program

Want college-credit without classroom instruction? Take the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests and shorten your path to a college degree. Visit the CLEP schedule or official CLEP website for more details.

CLEP exams are offered weekly by appointment Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Proctoring Services for Non-KC Exams

Scheduling Procedures: (Complete steps in order)

  1. Complete and submit the Proctor Request form at least one week prior to your test deadline or desired test date. Test Proctor Request Form (pdf)
  2. Confirm that the Testing Center has received your test material and instructions.
  3. Pay $30 per test for each exam to be proctored through the testing center. 
  4. Review the list of Prohibited Items (pdf)
  5. Schedule an appointment by phone at (903) 983-8215 or online.

Testing guidelines for non-KC exams:

  • All appointments should be made 24 hrs. in advance
  • Proctoring services are not available on weekends, holidays for during registration periods.
  • Appointments should not be made until exam material is received by the Testing Center.
  • Students arriving more than 10 minutes late from their appointment will need to reschedule for another day.
  • Students are responsible for keeping up with test dates and for contacting instructors with questions.
  • Unexpired photo ID is required for all testing
  • Only items specified by instructor/agency will be allowed.
  • Children and other visitors are NOT ALLOWED to wait in the testing area.
  • Food, drink and tobacco products are not permitted in testing labs.

TX Certificate of High School Equivalency Exam (TxCHSE GED)

NOTE: The passing score for each TxCHSE (GED) subject area is 145. This means if a student achieves a score of 145 or higher, they have passed that subject area.

Candidates must register in one of the following ways:

  1. Through the Pearson VUE call center at 1-877-EXAM-GED (392-6433)
  2. Through www.ged.com
  3. At the testing center

The cost is $36.25 per test or $145 for all tests however; the entire test cannot be taken on the Kilgore campus in one day.

  • Test on Mondays and Tuesdays (depending on availability) between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Pharmacy Technician Certification Board

  • Cost: $129
  • PTCB candidates can register and schedule by:

Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Online Exam

Available by appointment only Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Fridays at 9 a.m.

Peace officers in possession of a firearm:

  • To ensure compliance with Texas Penal Code § 46.15, Peace Officers with firearms are asked to readily identify and provide the identification card issued by their respective law enforcement agency or government entity (as designated in Texas Government Code § 614.122).

Registration procedures:

  1. Register and pay for exams online with TCFP.
  2. Schedule an appointment with the Testing Center at least 24 hours prior to the test date online or by calling (903) 983-8215 or emailing the Kilgore testing center at testing@kilgore.edu
  3. Pay the $30 proctoring fee online or to the Cashier’s office on the Kilgore campus. Payments can made by in person to the Cashier’s office or by phone at (903) 983-8108. Only cash, Debit/Credit cards and money orders are accepted.

What to bring on test day:

  • Candidates must provide an unexpired government-issued photo ID on test day.
  • Candidates taking the online exam must also provide an unexpired, printed copy of the Online Exam Eligibility form.  Both the candidate’s name and DOB must match on both the Online Exam Eligibility form and the government-issued photo ID.
  • Candidates must bring a copy of the Cashier’s receipt.

After the exam:

  • After testing is complete, candidates may view their results through their FIDO account.
  • Results are posted to the candidate’s account within 24 hours after the exam is completed.
  • Candidates should contact the TCFP regarding retesting procedures.

SPECIAL NOTE: Vouchers will not be issued or accepted during college holidays, late registration or heavy testing periods such as finals week.

TSI Assessment tests are offered Mondays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. and Fridays at 8:30 a.m. by appointment only.

You must complete the following steps in order to schedule a testing appointment:

  • Submit an admissions application by visiting www.kilgore.edu and applying to Kilgore college.
  • Contact the Registrar’s Office in person or by phone at (903) 983-8606 regarding your TSI status.
  • Complete Kilgore College’s Pre-Assessment Activity and provide proof of completion to the testing center. Visit: http://practice.accuplacer.org/login
  • Pay the ($40 full test fee or $20 partial test fee) online by clicking here.
  • Non-KC students (students not enrolling at KC) pay $45 regardless of the section needed. Non-KC students will not be tested during late registration periods.
  • Select a session from the testing schedule:  Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Complete the steps above.
  • Complete the Remote Voucher Request form entirely and accurately by clicking here.
  • Submit the Pre-Assessment Activity, receipt and Remote Voucher Request form to the Testing Center.

After clicking the below link, students must enter their KC student ID number in order to retrieve TSI test scores.

Special Accommodations

It is the policy of Kilgore College to provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations for individuals with documented disabilities. The Testing Center will not schedule your exam without first receiving proof of payment and a copy of the Special Accommodations Request Form. The Accommodations Request Form is available from the Disability Services office.
