English as a Second Language (ESL)

About the program

Kilgore College offers an opportunity to learn in its English as a Second Language program. Students in this program learn how to read, write, and speak English. Regardless of your skill level or education, you can enroll in Kilgore College’s ESL classes.

Classes are for adults 18 years of age or older whose primary language is not English, and whose reading, writing and speaking skills are below the level to function effectively in an English literate society.

All instruction is done in English and instructional levels range from zero literacy either in English or the native language to advance level where the student has the competency of a native English speaker in two of the three areas, speaking, reading, or writing, but needs more practice in one.

ESL - Ingles como Segundo Idioma

Kilgore College ofrece una oportunidad para aprender en su programa de ingles como segundo idioma. Los estudiantes en este programa aprenden a leer, escribir y hablar Ingles. Independientemente de su nivel de habilidad o la educacion, puede inscribirse en clases de ESL de Kilgore College.

Las clases son para adultos de 18 anos de edad o mayores cuyo idioma principal no es el Ingles, y cuya lectura, escribir y hablar de habilidades estan por debajo del nivel para funcionar efectivamente en una sociedad alfabetizada Inglesa.

Todas las instrucciones se realizan en el rango de niveles de Ingles y ensenanza desde cero alfabetizaciones en ingles o la lengua nativa a nivel avanzado donde el estudiante tiene la competencia de un hablante nativo de Ingles en dos de las tres areas, hablar, leer o escribir, pero necesita mas practica en uno.
