Description: The EMT course provides foundational training in emergency medical services, preparing students to deliver critical care at the scene of an emergency and during transport. Covering basic life support skills, trauma response and patient assessment techniques, this program emphasizes hands-on training and prepares students to handle a variety of urgent care situations. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to take the National Registry EMT certification exam, a key step in beginning a career in emergency response.

Description: Kilgore College’s Paramedic program provides comprehensive training in advanced life support (ALS) techniques, equipping students with the skills to manage complex medical and trauma cases. The curriculum includes in-depth study of EMS operations, emergency procedures, cardiology and pharmacology, coupled with extensive practical training. Students are prepared to perform critical procedures, lead emergency response efforts and sit for the National Registry Paramedic certification exam, positioning them for rewarding careers in paramedicine.
Program Goals: To prepare paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
