KC awards 489 degrees and certificates at spring commencements

Kilgore College held two commencements in Dodson Auditorium May 9 to honor its spring graduates..

The procession will include 452 graduates with 489 degrees and certificates set to be awarded.

The 2 p.m. ceremony was for students graduating with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or students earning a certificate.

At 6 p.m., the graduation was for students earning an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS) or an Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree.

KC presents Blue Ribbon Medals of Excellence for student, alumni success

In lieu of graduation speakers Friday, KC presented Blue Ribbon Medals of Excellence for Alumni Success and Blue Ribbon Medals of Excellence for Student Success.

At the 2 p.m. ceremony, the recipient of the Blue Ribbon Medal of Excellence for Alumni Success wasย Sylvia Hoffmanย and the Blue Ribbon Medal of Excellence for Student Success wasย Dr. Charles Whiteside.

For the 6 p.m. ceremony, the recipient of the Blue Ribbon Medal of Excellence for Alumni Success wasย Trevor Newlinย and the Blue Ribbon Medal of Excellence for Student Success wasย Todd Hancock.

The Blue Ribbon Medals of Excellence for Student and Alumni Success are presented by the college at graduation ceremonies to celebrate and honor the partnerships formed between the institution and successful alumni, community members and/or businesses dedicated to the furtherance of KCโ€™s mission.
