Kilgore College Career Services will host the second annual Girls Breaking Norms conference on Oct. 25, 2024.
This is a one‐day conference where middle school girls can explore different career options. The conference will focus mostly on careers in science, math, engineering and technology. Women from various professions will be on hand to discuss these careers with the students.
We’d love to have you present at the conference. Presenters will speak with three groups of middle school (7th grade) girls from local independent school districts who are beginning career exploration for their educational path. As a presenter, you will be able to provide these girls with information on what it’s like to work in your career. Presentations will take place from 10 a.m. until Noon. Lunch will be provided to all presenters after the last presentation is completed.

If we have multiple presenters from one employer who are of similar employment who apply, you might get grouped together to do a presentation. A confirmation email will be sent out to notify you about your registration for the event, then another email will be sent out if you were chosen to present this year.
