Culinary Arts

Courses offered thru KC-Longview, taught on the Longview High School campus.

About Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts program prepares students for careers in food service, one of the nation’s largest private-sector industries. Students may pursue either a certificate or an Associate of Applied Science degree in culinary arts.

The associate degree includes a practicum course that provides valuable hands-on, on-the-job training. Classes begin each August and are held in the state-of-the-art kitchen facility at the Longview High School Career and Technology Education Center, with evening classes offered Monday through Thursday.

The certificate can be completed in two semesters, while the Associate of Applied Science degree includes additional culinary coursework and academic classes designed to expand career opportunities in the hospitality and food service industries.
