The business department offers a 36-Hour Certificate and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting. These programs are designed for students who feel they will not have the opportunity to pursue a traditional bachelor’s degree at a university. These programs emphasize technical training in the field of accounting. Some coursework in these programs is not intended for transfer to a four-year school. Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting should follow the degree plan for the Business Administration Field of Study.
Students interested in accounting may pursue career paths in bookkeeping, auditing, payroll, tax preparation, business finance and related office or financial roles.
