W. L. Dodson Auditorium is one of East Texas’ premier entertainment and cultural venues, proudly located on the Kilgore College campus. Since opening in 1952, the 1,420-seat auditorium has served as a centerpiece for campus life and community events, welcoming generations of students, families and visitors.
Throughout its history, Dodson Auditorium has provided the stage for some of Kilgore College’s most cherished traditions, including commencement ceremonies and the world-famous Rangerette Revels. The venue has also hosted a wide variety of concerts, theatrical productions, distinguished speakers, educational programs and community celebrations. For more than 70 years, it has remained a gathering place where tradition, culture and entertainment come together for audiences across East Texas.




W.L. Dodson Auditorium, located at 904 Nolen St. in Kilgore, is conveniently accessible from Interstate 20.
From the west, take Exit 583 to U.S. Highway 259 South.
From the east, take Exit 589 to U.S. Highway 259 South. Continue into Kilgore, turn right on Houston Street (U.S. 80), then left on North Street.
The auditorium is located one block south of Houston Street on Nolen Street.
