Third degree of consanguinity
The third degree of consanguinity refers to a blood relationship between two individuals who share a common ancestor within three generations, counting up to the ancestor and down to the relative.
Examples may include great-grandparents, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and sometimes first cousins.
Third degree of consanguinity means a Board member’s child, parent, sibling, half-sibling, grandchild, grandparent, aunt, uncle, nephew, niece, great-grandparent, and great-grandchild.
