Kilgore College’s RangerPRINT – the one-stop-shop for all printing needs – was recently awarded four awards for printing excellence as part of the nationwide In-Print™ 2024 contest.
The contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-Plant Impressions, is the only printing contest exclusively for in-plants from all industry segments. With 384 entries received, a panel of judges selected the award-winners.
RangerPRINT was awarded three Silver medals and one Bronze medal:
- Silver Medal: Wide Format, Rigid or Specialty Substrates (Forevermore Butterfly Gate)
- Silver Medal: Wide Format, Extra Large Installations or Wraps (East Texas Oil Museum Derricks)
- Silver Medal: Small Shop, Wide Format (KC Fire Academy Vintage Helmet Display)
- Bronze Medal: Wide Format, Extra Large Installations or Wraps (KC Brick Wall)
After operating for years as a typical in-plant print shop serving only the college, KC Print Services recently rebranded as RangerPRINT, and opened its doors to both the college and the public.
As a result, the print shop has expanded into a new facility (former Kilgore Heights Elementary building) that boasts two Xerox Iridesse digital presses, two black-and-white Ricoh Pro 8320s, a Duplo DC-618 creaser/cutter and wide-format equipment.
RangerPRINT also offers grand format printing with a 10-foot, 5-inch print width.
“We’ve ramped everything up, even our digital machines,” said Payton Davis, RangerPRINT supervisor. “We can truly print almost anything that a customer can dream of. We want our customers to know we can make their marketing materials stand out.”
