Kilgore College and the East Texas Oil Museum will host the third annual Fueling Fitness 5K, 1-mile Fun Run and kidsโ€™ Dino Dash on Saturday, April 25.

The family-friendly event will feature three race options: a chip-timed 5K run/walk, a 1-mile run/walk and the kidsโ€™ Dino Dash for children ages 10 and under. All races will start and finish at the East Texas Oil Museum, located at 1301 S. Henderson Blvd.

Registration is currently open while spots remain available. Participants can register online by visiting the race website at www.kilgore.edu/fueling-fitness.

Participants in the 5K and 1-mile events will receive a finisher medal. Additional race items include a commemorative T-shirt and supporter giveaways recognizing the eventโ€™s third year.

Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 17 and under, 18โ€“39 and 40 and older. The Dino Dash is free for all participating children.

โ€œAll ability levels are welcome, and this event is designed to bring the community together while supporting an important local institution,โ€ said Olivia Moore, director of auxiliary enterprises at KC. โ€œProceeds from the race help support the East Texas Oil Museum and its mission to preserve the history of the Texas oil boom.โ€
