Kilgore College Theatre will open its 2025–26 season with Dear Anne, From Nina by Claudia Haas, a heartfelt historical drama inspired by the real-life letters exchanged between Anne Frank and her American pen pal, Juanita Wagner.
Performances are set for Oct. 9-12 in Van Cliburn Auditorium inside the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Center. The play is directed by Micah Goodding and is a candidate for the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.
Set during World War II, the production moves between Anne’s hidden life in Amsterdam and Nina’s experiences on an Iowa farm. Through letters, the story explores friendship, distance and how young people make sense of a world in crisis.
