Kilgore College’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN/RN) program has achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN®) for six consecutive graduating classes.
The college’s Vocational Nursing (VN) program has also recorded 100 percent pass rates on the NCLEX-PN® for the past two consecutive graduating classes.
According to recent data, KC’s performance exceeds the statewide average for first-time NCLEX-RN pass rates in Texas.
The following semesters recorded 100 percent first-time pass rates:
- RN Program: Spring 2023, Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024 and Spring 2025
- VN Program: Fall 2024 and Spring 2025

KC’s nursing programs are approved by the Texas Board of Nursing. Additionally, the ADN program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The ADN program was established in 1969, followed by the VN program in 1975.
