KC nursing programs maintain 100% NCLEX pass rates

Kilgore Collegeโ€™s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN/RN) program has achieved a 100โ€ฏpercent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RNยฎ) for six consecutive graduating classes.

The collegeโ€™s Vocational Nursing (VN) program has also recorded 100โ€ฏpercent pass rates on the NCLEX-PNยฎ for the past two consecutive graduating classes.

According to recent data, KCโ€™s performance exceeds the statewide average for first-time NCLEX-RN pass rates in Texas.

The following semesters recorded 100โ€ฏpercent first-time pass rates:

  • RN Program: Spring 2023, Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024 and Spring 2025
  • VN Program: Fall 2024 and Spring 2025

KCโ€™s nursing programs are approved by the Texas Board of Nursing. Additionally, the ADN program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The ADN program was established in 1969, followed by the VN program in 1975.
