Kilgore College is expanding opportunities for seniors to stay active, healthy and engaged through KC Excel.
In addition to its ongoing partnership with SilverSneakers®, the fitness center now welcomes members of Renew Active and One Pass, giving more seniors access to KC Excel at no cost.
“Our goal is to make fitness and wellness accessible to everyone in our community,” said Olivia Moore, director of auxiliary enterprises at KC. “By expanding our partnerships to include Renew Active and One Pass, we are ensuring more seniors have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of KC Excel without financial barriers.”
KC Excel also offers a biweekly 55+ Pickleball Group, which meets every other week from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The group is open to all seniors in East Texas, regardless of membership status, and has a $5 participation fee per event.
“This is about more than exercise. It’s about connection,” Moore said. “Pickleball has become one of our most popular senior programs, and we love seeing friendships form alongside fitness.”
