Kilgore College Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) will host two upcoming enrollment events for individuals interested in workforce training and high school equivalency preparation.
An enrollment session for the Integrated Education and Training (IET) Certified Nursing Assistant program is scheduled for Wednesday, March, 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at the KC-Longviewโs Hendrix Building, 300 S. High St., in Longview.
The free program offers eligible students a fast-track pathway to earn a CNA career certificate while gaining essential skills focused on resident care, safety and patient rights.
Nursing assistants provide daily care for patients under the supervision of registered or licensed vocational nurses in hospitals, nursing homes and home health settings. The training program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the growing health care field.
A second enrollment event for evening GED classes is planned for Wednesday, April 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at KC-Longview.
The session will provide information about class schedules, enrollment requirements and support services available to help adult learners complete their high school equivalency.
KCโs AEL programs are designed to support career advancement, workforce readiness and lifelong learning opportunities for individuals across the region.
