There are certain types of electrical appliances that are a danger in the residence halls. Electrical appliances with an exposed heating element and all space heaters are prohibited. Appliances such as microwave, dorm-size refrigerator, radio, stereo, desk lamp, computer and television are permitted provided the total power requirements do not overload the room’s electrical system.
