KC opens up season with 35-10 win over TJC
KILGORE, TX -- First-year head coach Willie Gooden got what he wanted Aug. 24 -- his first win as a head coach in his first try.
No. 6 Kilgore outscored Tyler Junior College 21-10 in the second half, en route to a 35-10 win over the Apaches at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium.
Sophomore quarterback Jacob Frazier has quite a game, as did receiver Omar Manning.
KC will be back at home Aug. 31 to face Navarro College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
