Kilgore College's Jaleel Wheeler has earned the honor of being an All-American Honorable Mention for the 2015-16 season by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
Wheeler is the third Ranger in four years to earn All-American status.
He joins the ranks of former Rangers Lonnie McClanahan (UT Arlington) and Stefan Moody (Ole Miss) who were recently named All-Americans for KC. McClanahan was an honorable mention in 2013 and Moody was an honorable mention in 2014.
Wheeler has committed to play basketball next season for The University of Tulsa.
As a sophomore guard last season for KC, Wheeler played in all 30 games for KC and averaged 22.3 points per game (second highest average in the conference).
He also averaged 80.7 percent from the free throw line (196-of-243), helping the Rangers (20-10) earn a playoff berth for the eighth-straight season under head coach Brian Hoberecht.
