Collins, a 6'0" receiver from Tyler, signed out of John Tyler High School to play at KC in 2010. At KC, he caught 84 passes for 1,225 yards for KC before transferring to play at Midwestern. After leaving Midwestern for family reasons, Collins signed to play for Texas A&M Commerce where he had at least 100 yards in seven of A&M-Commerce's 11 games, broke the school's single-season record with 14 touchdown receptions and had receptions his senior season for 1,187 yards.
Reed, a 6'5" offensive lineman from Houston, had standout seasons at KC in 2010-11 and signed to play at Fayetteville State University. Reed was named Offensive MVP this season for FSU and was selected to play in the USA Football Bowl last January at Newell Stadium in Jackson, Miss.
Reed was a major factor in Fayetteville State's offensive success, starting every game his senior year, contributing at both tackle and guard. With Reed's leadership, FSU's offense finished the season ranked sixth in the CIAA for passing yards and seventh in rushing yards. He was was selected to the All-CIAA Second Team as recognition for his contributions.
