TJC tops Rangers, 55-44; KC will face TVCC on the road in first playoff

In a back-and-forth contest, the Tyler Junior College Apaches came out on top in a 55-44 win over the Rangers Oct. 25 in Tyler to move KC into the fourth playoff spot of the Soutwest Junior College Football Conference playoffs beginning next week.

Since the Rangers lost by more than 10 points to TJC and Navarro handily defeated Blinn College, the Rangers will play at No. 1 seed Trinity Valley Community College in Athens 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1.

Kilgore finishes the regular season at 7-2 overall and 4-2 in SWJCFC play ending up as the No. 4 seed in the conference playoffs. 

In other playoff action, No. 3 seed TJC will travel to play No. 2 seed Navarro in Corsicana Nov. 1.
