TJC puts up big numbers in second half, defeats Lady Rangers, 61-39

TYLER, TX -- The Tyler Junior College Lady Apaches, led by Victoria Kemokai who hit four three-pointers in the second half, defeated the Lady Rangers, 61-39, Feb. 26.

Kemokai ended up with 17 points, hitting 4-of-8 three point attempts, in a rare Thursday game made up because of inclement weather.

KC was led by Ima Akpan with 14 points.  Darreion Clark was also in double figures for the Lady Rangers with 10 points.

The Lady Rangers were only down four points at the half, but were outscored 39-21 in the second half.

With the loss, KC drops to 7-19 overall and 4-15 in Region XIV play.

They have one more game left, set for 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in Jacksonville versus the Lady Jags.
