Thurmon scores 45 points in win against Paris, 85-71

PARIS, TX -- To say Kilgore College Lady Ranger Jade Thurmon was on fire Feb. 21 against Paris Junior College would be an understatement.

Thurmon was 20-of-29 shooting, scoring 45 points in the 85-71 victory against PJC.

KC (17-9, 11-6 Region XIV) led by 10 points at halftime, 42-32, with Thurmon scoring 24 points in the first half.

Richelle Velez was also in double figures for KC with 14 points.

The Lady Rangers led by as many as 19 points in the second half, but PJC (11-16, 6-11 Region XIV) kept within reach, led in scoring by Mackenzie Tillman who came off the bench to score 17 points.

PJC had two other players in double figures with Bre'Osha Scott scoring 10 points and Brianna Thomas scoring 12.

KC's next game is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at home versus Panola College.
