Sponsors needed for championship football rings

Kilgore College will honor this year’s football team with championship rings, but the college is looking for sponsors to offset the cost of the hardware.

The rings are a reward for this year’s team that defeated Navarro College 42-28 Nov. 7 in Corsicana for the Southwestern Junior College Football Conference championship.

The Rangers will play in a bowl game the first part of December (TBA).

“We are excited about this team’s success and know they deserve something as a reward for their hard work,” said Jimmy Rieves, athletic director. “We appreciate any donations people can make.  The kids deserve it.”

The college is asking for potential donors to “Sponsor a Ranger” for $100 each.

To make a donation, contact athletic director Jimmy Rieves at 903-988-7536 or email
