Seven Kilgore College softball players were named to the Region XIV Conference East Division, Region XIV regional and academic softball teams.
Freshman pitcher Katy Worrell, of Maud, was named first team all-conference and second team all-region.
Worrell led KC to its best overall record (33-23) in the team's five-year history, most conference wins (19) and its first trip to the Region XIV Tournament.
Worrell was 19-13 on the mound with a 149 strikeouts and a 3.23 earned run average in 193 innings.
KC's Amber Williams, from Kilgore, and Kristen Terry, from Pearland, were selected for the All-Region Academic Team.
Also named to the list were second team all-conference selections Kaitlyn Stebelton, from Crosby (outfielder), Jo Rivera, from Richmond (catcher), Renee “Lashanda” Jones, from Houston (pitcher) and Taylor Christopher, from Garrison (infielder).
Jones was 11-2 with a 2.91 ERA, 79 strikeouts and 47 walks in 89 innings pitching.
Stebelton hit .332 with 24 RBI, eight doubles, two triples and 20 stolen bases.
Rivera was .354 with two home runs, 38 walks, 10 doubles and 31 RBI while Christopher hit .333 with 29 RBI, eight doubles and 29 runs scored.
