BAYTOWN, TX -- After losing two-straight games, the Rangers rebounded by winning their conference-opener in Baytown against Lee College, 74-64.
KC led most of the game by about 10 points and were helped by making 10-12 free throws in the contest. Lee struggled at the line, only hitting 4-of-10 from the charity stripe.
The Rangers were led in scoring by sophomore Jonathan Milligan who had 16 points. Other players in double figures for KC were Bacari Copeland with 13 and Alassane Kah with 12. Miles Banks scored 9, Michael Thomas scored 8 and Larry Brown had 4 points. Quantez Brown and Myron Chapman each had 3 points.
The Lee Rebels were led in scoring by Ty Outlaw who was 9-of-16 for 28 points. Shawn Smith was the only other Rebel in double figures with 12.
The Rangers now sit at 6-2 overall and 1-0 in Region XIV play. Their next game is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at home versus another conference opponent, Coastal Bend College out of Beeville.
