The Kilgore College football team will face the East Central Community College (Miss.) Warriors in the C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl Dec. 5.
Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. at Bulldawg Stadium in Copperas Cove.
The game will be a top-20 national matchup with KC ranked 20th in the NJCAA poll and ECCC ranked 15th.
The Rangers (7-4) defeated the Navarro Bulldogs, 42-28, to claim the SWJCFC championship on Nov. 7 in Corsicana.
The Warriors (7-3) qualified for the playoffs but lost in the first round to Northwest Mississippi Community College, 27-20, on Oct. 31.
ECCC's other two losses this season came to ranked teams — Copiah-Lincoln and Mississippi Gulf Coast.
ECCC, located in Decatur, Miss., plays in the Mississippi Association of Community & Junior Colleges. The MACJC is one of the two conferences that make up Region XXIII of the NJCAA.
Kilgore is 11-8 in its previous 19 bowl appearances, including a 47-36 loss to Northwest Mississippi in the inaugural Brazos Valley Bowl played at Texas A&M University's Kyle Field in College Station.
The Rangers have played in the C.H.A.M.P.S Heart of Texas Bowl twice, defeating Fort Scott (Kan.) 19-7 in 2006 and falling to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College 62-28 in 2007.
Tickets will go on sale Monday, Nov. 23, in the KC Athletic Office.
KC will be able to keep proceeds for the first 250 reserved tickets sold, so Ranger fans are encouraged to purchase tickets from KC.
