Rangers trade leads with Bossier Parish but lose, 90-88

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Kilgore College Rangers traded leads with the Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers 18 times Feb. 18 but ended up once again on the losing end of the scoreboard, 90-88, dropping their sixth-straight game.

KC was down by as many as nine points late in the game but chipped away at the BPCC lead, just coming up short.

Bossier Parish's balanced offensive attack included five players in double figures with Jerry Perry leading the way with 24 points.  Lasani Johnson and Brandon Johnson each scored 18 points for the Cavaliers while Emmanuel Ejeh earned a double-double withh 10 points and 11 rebounds.

KC freshman Chad Bowie led Ranger scorers with 22 points. Ndene Gueye, who has sat the last few games due to an injury, scored 18 points grabbed 8 rebounds. Jamar Sandifer scored 15 points for KC and Cheikh Fall was also in double figures for KC with 10 points.

With the loss, KC drops to 12-13 overall and 3-12 in Region XIV play.  BPCC improves to 9-18 overall and 5-11 in conference play.

The Rangers' next game is 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at home versus Paris Junior College.  The Lady Rangers will open up the doubleheader against Paris at 5:30 p.m.
