Four Rangers have signed college scholarships to play softball at a four-year school next season and four Rangers have earned Region XIV postseason awards.
Players moving on to the next level include:
- Kelsey Ancelot (Centenary College) Ancelot played outfield for the Rangers and batted .231 for the season and had a .273 on base percentage.
- Hallee Carter (The University of Texas at Tyler) Carter played outfield for KC and batted .344 for the season with a .470 slugging percentage.
- Angelica Gonzales (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) Gonzales played third base for KC and batted .336 for the season and hit four home runs.
- Taylor Sieber (East Texas Baptist University) Sieber played catcher for the Rangers, hit nine home runs and batted .371 for the season with 36 RBI.
Also, four Rangers were honored with Region XIV accolades for the 2016 season.
Named to the 2016 All-Region Academic Team were Madison Goolsby, Jenna Johnson and Hayley McCullers. McCullers was also named to the 2016 Region XIV All-Conference (East) Second Team.
