Rangers move to 2-0 with 71-58 win over Cedar Valley College

The No. 13-ranked Kilgore College Rangers improved to 2-0 on the young season with a win over Cedar Valley College Nov.3 at Masters Gymnasium in Kilgore.

Three Rangers scored in double figures for the Rangers en route to a 71-58 victory over a talented Suns squad.

Alassane Kah led all KC scorers with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Larry Beckett also had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  

Other scoring leaders for KC were Jaleel Wheeler with 9 points, Quantez Brown with 7 and Jonathan Milligan with 6.

KC led the entire game and shot 40 percent from the field and 88 percent from the free throw line, making 29-of-33 from the charity stripe.

The Suns had two players in double figures with Chris Owens scoring 19 and Raybon Riden with 11.

KC travels to Tyler Friday-Saturday, Nov. 7-8, to play two games at Tyler Junior College in the Robert Pack Classic.

The Rangers will face Pro Prep 4 p.m. on Friday and will play El Centro Club 2 p.m. on Saturday.
