Rangers lose close game to Hill College at home, 70-66

The Rangers struggled to score early in the contest as the Hill College Rebels went on an 11-0 run to start the game. Hill never gave the lead up except for two ties in the contest, handing the Rangers their second-straight loss, 70-66.

KC got to within two points to make the halftime score 34-32, but missed free throws down the stretch hurt the Rangers who hit only 10-of-20 attempts in the game.

Jonathan Milligan, who played all 40 minutes of the contest, led KC in scoring with 20 points.  Two other players were in double figures for KC with Alassane Kahn and Jaleel Wheeler both scoring 12 points.

Hill was led in scoring by Jemerrio Jones who scored 20 points and had eight rebounds. Marcus Johnson was also in double figures for Hill with 12 points.

The Rangers open up conference play Saturday, Nov. 22, with a road trip to Baytowm to face the Lee College Rebels.  Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
