KILGORE, TX -- Both the men's and women's basketball teams might have narrowly lost to Trinity Valley Communtiy College Cardinals March 3 in the regular season finales, but hope isn't lost for either team.
Both teams have qualified to compete in the Region XIV Basktball Tournament March 6-10 at Jacksonville's John Alexander Gymnasium (the former Lon Morris College gym).
The men's portion of the tournament will begin with a matchup of KC (9th seed) and Bossier Parish Community College (8th seed) at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 6.
Women's action in the tournament begins Wednesday, March 7, with the Lady Rangers (3rd seed) in the nightcap, tipping off against the Blinn College Lady Bucs (6th seed) at 8 p.m.
KC finished the regular season with an overall record of 16-12 and 8-11 in conference play.
The Lady Rangers finished the regular season at 19-10 overall and 13-7 in Region XIV play.
