Rangers, Lady Rangers resume conference play this weekend

KILGORE, TX -- Kilgore College's men's and women's basketball teams will resume Region XIV play with the men facing Blinn College Jan. 6 and the Lady Rangers playing Tyler Junior College Jan. 7.

The KC men will host the Buccaneers 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, in Masters Gymnasium.

KC, sitting at 10-3 overall and 1-2 in league play, is coming off a 91-59 win over Houston Community College Jan. 2.

Blinn, coached by former KC head coach Scott Schumacher, enters the contest at 9-3 overall and 1-2 in Region XIV play.

The Lady Rangers, currently ranked 22nd in the NJCAA, are coming off a 75-60 loss on the road to Arkansas Baptist College.

The KC women are 11-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

They will face the TJC Lady Apaches at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in Tyler's Wagstaff Gymnasium.

The Lady Apaches are 11-2 overall and 3-1 in Region XIV play.
