The Kilgore College Rangers and Lady Rangers are a combined 12-1 in non-conference action so far this season -- a good start for the two basketball teams in preparation for their next games which are conference matchups next Saturday (Nov. 21).
The men, under the leadership of head coach Brian Hoberecht in his eighth season at KC, are a perfect 7-0 on the season. The Rangers will face the Lee College Rebels 4 p.m. Saturday in Kilgore's Masters Gymnasium.
Lee College is 3-1 on the season with its only loss at the hands of Odessa College, 80-60, on Oct. 31.
The Lady Rangers (5-1), under first-year head coach Anna Nimz, suffered their first loss Nov. 14 to Collin College, 76-66.
They will travel Saturday to face the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. in Lufkin.
The Lady Roadrunners are 5-2 on the season with losses to Temple College, 71-65, on Oct. 30; and Seminole State College, 71-65, on Nov. 6.
