Rangers defeat No. 20 Panola College, 74-67

KILGORE, TX -- Paced with 23 points from freshman Da'Sean Nelson, the Kilgore College men defeated No. 20 Panola College, 74-67, to improve to 3-1 on the season.

KC led most of the game with Panola only tying the game up once at 48 points in the second half.

Nelson was 8-of-10 shooting with one three-pointer and was 6-of-8 from the free throw line.

KJ Jenkins was also in double figures for the Rangers with 12 points and five rebounds.

Josh Miller came off the bench to lead Panola in scoring with 18 points.  Tytan Newton and Cody Deen were also in double figures for Panola with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Rounding out the scoring for KC was Dantwan Grimes (9), Javonne Lowrey (9), Paul Otieno (7), Stephan Morris (5), Dylan Cabs (4), Godwin Illumoka (3) and Duane Posey (2).

KC travels Wednesday, Feb. 3, to face Lamar State College-Port Arthur.

The Rangers return home Saturday, Feb. 6, to face Navarro College at 4 p.m.
