Rangerettes perform at 75th commemoration of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii Dec. 7

The Kilgore College Rangerettes were featured performers Dec. 7 in Hawaii commemorating the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The Rangerettes performed at the 75th Anniversary Mass Band Performance with more than 1,000 student musicians at the USS Battleship Missouri Memorial in Pearl Harbor.

More than 4,000 people – including 300 World War II veterans – attended the ceremony at Pearl Harbor, and thousands more watched the event live from the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument, Waikiki Beach and online worldwide.

Planning of the event began more than a year ago for the 75th Pearl Harbor anniversary, noting that it was probably the last opportunity to pay tribute to a dwindling number of Pearl Harbor and World War II survivors.
