KILGORE, TX -- For what was touted as a tough homecoming matchup for the No. 5 Kilgore College Rangers actually turned out to be a one-sided affair.
KC built a 35-0 lead at halftime Oct. 19 before scoring twice more in the second half to defeat Blinn College, 49-7.
With the win, KC improves to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in Southwest Junior College Football Conference play.
Blinn drops to 4-4 and 2-4 with the loss.
The win also assures homefield advantage for the Rangers for the SWJCFC playoffs begining Nov. 2.
In other SWJCFC action, Tyler Junior College defeated Cisco College on the road, 17-0. New Mexico Military Institute defeated Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, 35-21. Trinity Valley defeated Air Force Prep (non-conference), 52-24.
