KILGORE, TX -- The KC men's basketball team got a much-needed victory Jan. 10 against Jacksonville College, 75-56, led by Jaleel Wheeler who had a huge game with 25 points.
Wheeler hit four three-pointers in the second half (4-of-5 for the game) and was 9-of-12 from the free throw line.
Three other players were in double figures for KC -- Jonathan Milligan with 14, Shaq Keith with 12 and Bakari Copeland who earned a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Jacksonville struggled from the field, only making 38 percent of its shots for the game, and only had one player in double figures with Kiefer Douse scoring 10.
With the win, KC improves to 11-6 overall and 3-4 in Region XIV play. They will play Bossier Parish Community College at home Wednesday, Jan. 14. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
