KILGORE, TX -- The Lady Rangers improved to 5-0 on the young season Nov. 11 with a one-sided defeat of the East Texas Baptist University JV squad, 101-35.
KC had four players in double figures with freshman guard Sarah Matthews outscoring everyone with 27 points. Matthews also grabbed six rebounds.
Sophomore Ireneshia Johnson scored 20 points and had eight rebounds, while Annilia Dawn scored 18 points with two assists.
Freshman Tara Kessner was also in double figures with 13 points and eight rebounds.
KC shot 45 percent from the field (21-of-47), making 30 percent of its three-point attempts (6-of-20).
ETBU made 19 percent of its shots (7-of-36).
The Lady Rangers next game is 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Women's NIT in Midland.
They will play Salt Lake City Community College in the first round of the three-day tournament.
