KILGORE, TX -- The Lady Rangers routed the Jacksonville Lady Jags, 96-58, but the KC men couldn't find their touch in a 74-57 loss to the Navarro College Bulldogs.
LADY RANGERS 96, JACKSONVILLE COLLEGE 58
The Lady Rangers had three players in double figures with Jada Hood leading the way with 28 points, knocking down 8-of-13 three-point attempts.
Rahmena Henderson came off the bench to score 18 and Mckenzie Brown chipped in 10 points.
Destinee Reyna and Tara Green each scored nine points, and Vianey Galvan scored seven.
Other scorers for KC were Kerrighan Dunn (6), Maya Scheitel-Taylor (4), Hannah Narvaez (2), Farah Shaaban (2) and Josephine Adegbite (1).
Jacksonville's Rylee Lavender led all scorers with 35 points.
With the win, the Lady Rangers improve to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in Region XIV play.
They will travel to Bossier City (La.) Wednesday, Feb. 10, to play Bossier Parish Community College at 5:30 p.m.
NAVARRO COLLEGE 74, KC MEN 57
After winning their last three games, the KC men struggled offensively, dropping a 74-57 decision against Navarro College.
Navarro built a 48-23 lead by the halfway mark and KC just couldn't catch up.
KC had two players in double figures with Da'Sean Nelson scoring 21 points and Dantwan Grimes with 14.
Rounding out the scoring for KC was Paul Otieno (8), KJ Jenkins (5), Dylan Cabs (4), Javonne Lowrey (3) and Duane Posey (2).
Navarro's Drue Drinnon led all scorers with 28 points.
With the loss, KC drops to 4-2 (overall/conference) and will play Coastal Bend College 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Masters Gymnasium.
