Lady Rangers open up season with win over Killeen Force

KILGORE, TX -- The Kilgore College Lady Rangers opened up their 2019-20 season with a victory over Killeen Force, 76-42, in Masters Gymnasium.

KC had four players in double figures with newcomer Sarah Matthews earning a double-double by scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 boards.

McKenze Brown and Jada Hood each scored 13 points and Alba Camarena, one of the two returners this year, scored 12 points.

Freshman Tara Kessner scored 8 points and grabbed an impressive 16 rebounds.

Killeen, who only suited up five players, was led by Elise Kea and Danielle Salley who both scored 14 points.

The Lady Rangers' next game is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in the finale of the Lady Ranger Classic versus Southwestern Christian College.

East Texas Baptist JV and Killeen Force will open up the classic Saturday at 11 a.m.
