Lady Rangers lose to first place Trinity Valley, 74-51

The Lady Rangers had a good first half, only down 30-25 at intermission against Trinity Valley, but a lack of depth due to injured KC players was apparent in the second half.

The KC women are down to eight available players due to injuries.

KC just ran out of gas in the last half, losing 74-51 to first place Trinity Valley Feb. 7 in Masters Gymnasium.

KC's high-scorer was Imaobong Akpan with 15 points.  Darreion Clark was also in double figures for KC with 12 points.

The Lady Rangers struggled defensively guarding TVCC’s Jazmine Spears, who was a big presence in the paint.  She was 8-of-14 for 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

TVCC's Leashja Grant also had a good game with 15 points (6-of-12) and nine rebounds. Dajhae Mullins and Kami Mickens were also in double figures for TVCC with 12 points and 10 points, respectively.

With the loss, the Lady Rangers drop to 6-15 overall and 3-11 in Region XIV play.  They will play Bossier Parish Community College at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11.
