Lady Rangers knock off No. 22 Odessa College, 75-50

KILGORE, TX -- First-year head coach Addie Lees got her first signature victory at Kilgore College Nov. 8 with a 75-50 win over previously undefeated No. 20 Odessa College.

The Lady Rangers put together a strong team effort with three players in double figures.

KC outscored the Lady Wranglers 25-11 in the first quarter, but that lead narrowed to 38-31 at halftime.

In the second half, KC put on the pressure by making 56 percent of its shots, outscoring Odessa, 37-19.

Sophomore guard Emely Rosario led all KC players with 18 points, making 2-of-3 three-pointers (5-of-9 overall and 6-of-6 from the free throw line).

Sophomore point guard Ta Shawnna Riggs scored 16 points and Patience Odoko scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds.  Idoko was also perfect from the free throw line (5-of-5).

De'Jah Williford Kelley and Ireneshia Johnson each scored seven points for the Lady Rangers.

Odessa's Kamryn Lemon led all scorers with 25 points.

KC improves to 2-1 with the win.  Odessa College drops to 3-1.

Next, the Lady Rangers will travel to Beeville (TX) to play in the Coastal Bend Classic, Nov. 15-17.
