Lady Rangers hold on to defeat Bossier Parish, 71-67

KILGORE, TX -- Kilgore's Mercedes Busby got fouled and hit two clutch free throws with 5 seconds left to seal a Lady Ranger victory, 71-67, over a hot Bossier Parish Community College team Feb. 10 in Masters Gymnasium.

Busby came off the bench to score four points, had three assists, two steals and two rebounds.

KC's Dominique Thomas led all scorers with 24 points, grabbing seven rebounds.

Two other players were in double figures for KC with Adrianna Edwards scoring 12 points, and Lauren Carroll scoring 15.

Shantrice Picking was effective on the boards with 11 rebounds.  She also scored 8 points.

With the win, the Lady Rangers improve to 14-11 overall and 7-8 in conference play.

Their next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at home versus Paris Junior College.
