Lady Rangers hang on for victory over Angelina College, 63-57

LUFKIN, TX -- Danielle Meador and Jade Thurmon put up big numbers for the Kilgore College Lady Rangers Jan. 20 in a huge conference road victory over Angelina College, 63-57, at Shands Gymnasium.

Meador was 3-of-6 from beyond the three-point line scoring 20 points.Thurmon scored 18 points and added 13 rebounds to earn a double-double.

Angelina's Natasha Mack, the conference's leader in points per game, scored 17 in the Lady Roadrunners' loss.  Mack was averaging 22 points per game heading into the contest.

KC's Hennesy Handy was also in double figures with 11 points.

Angelina and KC now both sit at 6-3 in Region XIV play.

The Lady Rangers travel Wednesday, Jan. 24, to Athens to play Trinity Valley Community College.  Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.

TVCC and Jacksonville College are in a tie for first place with 7-2 conference records.
