Lady Rangers get behind early, lose to Panola, 87-68

CARTHAGE, TX -- The Kilgore College Lady Rangers just couldn't make up a 17-point halftime deficit Feb. 25, losing on the road to Panola College, 87-68.

The Fillies outscored KC 31-16 in the second period, handing KC a Panola lead it just couldn't catch up to.

Panola's Tyshelle Perry led all scorers with 21 points, E'Katerina Karchesvskaya scored 19 points and Patience Okpe scored 11 points

Genesis Riveria and Daria Eremeeva combined for 24 rebounds for the Fillies.

KC was led in scoring by Lyrik Williams with 16 points and 7 rebounds.  Jade Thurmon and Richelle Velez who both scored 14 points for KC.

With the loss, KC drops to 18-9 overall and 9-8 in Region XIV play. 

The Lady Rangers next game is set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, in Lufkin versus Angelina.
