Lady Rangers can't hold halftime lead, lose to Panola 65-55

KILGORE, TX -- The Lady Rangers were up by five points at halftime but saw their lead slip away late in the game, losing Feb. 18 to Panola College, 65-55.

KC shot well from the field, making 44 percent of its shots, but struggled to contain Panola's Taylor Washington who finished the game with 22 points.

Ashley Barry-Wallace was also in double figures for Panola with 12 points.

The Lady Rangers had three players in double figures with Imaobong Akpan leading the way with 17 points.  Adrianna Edwards scored 14 points and Darreion Clard ended up with 12.

With the loss, KC drops to 7-17 overall and 4-13 in conference play.

They will travel Saturday, Feb. 21, to face San Jacinto College.  Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. in Houston.
