Lady Cardinals upend Lady Rangers in regular season finale, 74-55

ATHENS, TX -- Trinity Valley Community College exploded March 4 with four players in double figures to defeat the Kilgore College Lady Rangers in the regular season finale, 74-55.

The Lady Rangers struggled from the field against TVCC, making only 24 percent of their shots.  KC was also only 4-of-24 from the three-point line (4-of-24)

TVCC's Christalah Lyons led all Lady Cardinals with 16 points

Both Naomi Davenport and Malaysia McHenry earned double-doubles for the Lady Cards.  Davenort ended up with with 14 points and 11 rebounds while McHenry had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Shakeela Fowler was also in double figures for the Lady Cardinals with 10 points.

KC was led in scoring by Lyrik Williams and Jade Thurmon who both had 18 points.  Williams earned a double-double by adding 12 rebounds.

KC ends the regular season at 19-10 overall and 10-9 in Region XIV play.  The Lady Rangers will be either the No. 6 or 7 seed in a regional tournament quarterfinal game Wednesday, March 8, in Jacksonville (time TBA).
