Lady Apaches slip past Kilgore in fourth period, win 72-66

KILGORE, TX -- The Lady Rangers let one slip away as the Tyler Junior College Lady Apaches came back from a 10-point deficit after the third period to defeat KC 72-66.

KC didn't help itself only shooting 33 percent of its free throws (2-of-12 in the second half).

Kilgore's Lyrik Williams had a monster game, earning a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Dominique Thomas also earned a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

TJC was led in scoring by Taudenciah Oluoch with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

With the loss, KC drops to 16-13 overall and 9-10 in conference play.

The Lady Rangers have one game left for the season, playing Jacksonville College 2 p.m. at home on Saturday, Feb. 27.

KC has qualified for the regional tournament which will be held at Angelina College in Lufkin beginning March 1.
