Kilgore College will host a free HIPAA training for area providers May 9 on the Kilgore campus.
The training, “Free HIPAA Training for Small Providers,” will be presented by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights.
It is set for 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, in the Devall Student Center Ballroom.
The introductory training will cover the privacy, security and breach notification rules including: rights of individuals; administrative requirements; safeguards; minimum necessary; business associate agreements; enforcement updates; risk analysis; and risk management.
There is no registration fee but seating is limited.
